Feb. 2010 - Apr. 2023Brighton, Michigan• Perform a variety of routine and complex confidential administrative and clerical work in support of the director, deputy director, corporation counsel and controller. • Coordinate and maintain director, deputy director and controller’s schedule, complete travel arrangements and ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the executive staff office.
• Compose, type and edit a variety of correspondence, reports, memorandums, speeches and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy and completeness. • Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Coordinator. • Provide administrative support and assist with assignments relating to the Board of Commissioners.
• Prepare monthly meeting materials for Board meetings included but not limited to editing material for accuracy, grammar, compiling statistics, preparing presentations and handling logistics material for distribution.
• Recording Secretary for for the Board of Commissioners and all official Metropark meetings. • Attend internal meetings and take meeting minutes as required.
• Assist in preparation of the Huron-Clinton Metroparks annual report. • Prepare and process payments for expense reports and purchases.
• Assist both park and office staff with various projects.
• Organize, plan and attend special events in the parks. • Coordinate participation at trade shows and community outreach events.
• Assist in developing strategy for Metropark advertising programs.
• Develop event timeline (including timing for promotional materials, dates, logos need from sponsors, date promotional materials will be displayed, dates event talent/activities to be confirmed, etc.).
• Create an event overview to be included in sponsorship proposal (including past event attendance, brief event overview, event timeframe, etc.).
• Research alternate funding opportunities to underwrite the cost of special events.
