Our 2015 focus is on employee engagement and really making Jurys Inns a great place to work by developing a remuneration strategy and focusing on learning and development. We have been shortlisted for the Catey Awards for Best Employer in Hospitality. I am responsible for talent development with 85% of General Managers internally promoted it is essential that we have a pipeline right through the business. I work closely with the Senior Leadership team and with General Managers to deliver all their HR needs. Raising money for Charity is a key element to my role - last year we raised £50k in one day with a cycle between all our hotels, this year we have raised over 60k and this was my key project for the year with over 450 employees involved on the day and this has had a huge impact on morale. I work with the Senior Leadership team across all disciplines in the business - revenue, sales, marketing, finance, shared services and operations to support them in all HR matters as well as looking at how HR can support operational matters to strive for continuous improvement at all times. There has been a culture change in the business with the introduction of E Learning and this has been a great success hence the awards we have won!
