•Run internal communications and construct the development of a plan, to include executive communications, videos, leadership announcements, employee and operational communications.
•Drive communications to create positive culture within the organisation.
•Oversee messaging from the different levels to maintain accuracy, high quality and consistency.
External Communications
•Plan communication strategy to best promote our Professional Education events.
•To create a professional, efficient messaging in line with our brand.
•Approve all PR pieces
•Work with various organisations who Smith & Nephew have collaborated with for Corporate Social Initiative projects (CSI) to ensure media around the events are done correctly and in line regulations.
Event Marketing
•In charge of all corporate events ie congress planning. From initiation of plans to the execution and running of the congress. Branding and messaging for the events.
•Budget management for the events.
•Create plans for social media around these events.
Social Media, Website, Digital Presence
•Create and drive a robust social media program to ensure strong integration around specific events of CSI projects run within the organisation.
•Ensure content for websites are in line with Smith & Nephew regulations and have gone through the approval process. Also ensure content is in line with local South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
•Manage website creative, content, and consistency with all messaging. Look at ways to promote our website through different advertising channels, ie print, radio and events.
Brand Champion
•Ensure Smith & Nephew Brand Guidelines are used consistently and correctly at all times.
•Check all new Marketing material, which are created locally, are in line with our CI.
•Drive our CI messaging through our marketing materials.
•Ensure our vendors are in line with our CI.
