Integrys Energy ServicesCorporate Analyst on Rotation
Jan. 2007 - Apr. 2009United StatesStarting in 2007 I was selected for a rotation program with Integrys Energy Services electric power business unit. Roles were heavy in managing cross functional processes and required knowledge in modeling, forecasting, and advanced MS Excel techniques. Power Risk Analyst (12 Months, 2007, Green Bay, WI) - This position involved daily analysis and reconciliation of wholesale power, natural gas, and Renewable Energy Certificate positions along with Value-at-Risk. Also, validation, marking and analysis of forward price curves. The 1st position on my rotation at Integrys Energy. Power Pricing Analyst (8 Months, Early to Late '08, Ann Arbor, MI) - Initially worked reconstructing and proving the profitability of electric programs in New York and developing price-to-beat comparisons in PJM. My role was then pivoted to a select project group to help relieve a major backlog in our retail billing system, utilizing root cause analysis to provide improved milestone tracking and ad-hoc workarounds to target bottlenecks. The 2nd position for my rotation. Day Ahead Power Scheduler (8 Months, Late '08 to Early '09, Chicago, IL) - Here I was responsible for reconciling and tagging of both physical and financial energy schedules with internal counterparts, traders and external business relationships. I additionally investigated and developed a streamlined work process and new group performance metrics, resulting in improved workload leveling. My 3rd and last rotational position at Integrys Energy.
