Oct. 2022 - Mar. 2024Washington, District of Columbia, United StatesIn my former role as a Consular Fellow and Adjudicator, I was responsible for learning and acquiring the skillls necessary to assist American embassies and consulates in the Spanish speaking world, which provide critical support for those seeking documents such as visas and passports. In my case I will be posted to Lima, Peru for my first two year assignment. My prior international experience includes a six month study abroad stay in Salamanca, Spain (2014), a brief visit to Havana, Cuba through another study abroad experience (2019), and a year of living and working in the Dominican Republic, near Santo Domingo (2015-2016). I also have professional experience as a middle and high school Spanish teacher in the Northern Virginia area. At the moment I am based in Washington, D.C. and I am continuing my full-time Spanish education at the State Department facility in the area, called the Foreign Service Institute, in Arlington, Virginia.
