All students in grades 6-8 learned fundamental Spanish skills in a challenging but rewarding academic environment. The curriculum emphasized practical sentence structure, extensive vocabulary, grammatical knowledge, and in-depth interpersonal communication in realistic scenarios outside the classroom. Instruction was given in both languages. Other duties as a staff member included substitute teaching roles whenever necessary, building strong relationships with families and students alike, and attending a variety of student events. As an Extended Day Aide, all grade levels had the opportunity to benefit from a safe and secure environment that is offered for three hours every afternoon when school is in session. Tutoring or mentoring sessions for Spanish students were available during after-school hours regularly.

At the moment I am based in Washington, D.C. and I am continuing my full-time Spanish education at the State Department facility in the area, called the Foreign Service Institute, in Arlington, Virginia.
