Apr. 2008 - Sep. 2019Lead Business Systems Engineer with MITRE’s Enterprise Strategy and Transformation (ES&T) technical center. Responsible for managing and delivering consulting engagements in the areas of IT strategy; process design, systems integration for small and large programs and projects. Approaches includes structured problem solving and an emphasis on effective communication and consultation. Selected engagements include: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Manager. MITRE was asked by the CIO and Chief Architect to develop the framework, baseline and target architectures and strategy to guide the establishment and execution of processes and practices, including approaches to business engagement, governance, and transition planning. Provided guidance as to where to invest financial and FTE resources for open source adoption.
Provided advice to evaluate domain specific business architectures are aligned and consistent with best practices and policy guidance.
Managed project schedules, risks, and performance with client stakeholders. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence, Project Lead. MITRE was asked to conduct a study to determine patterns with the client’s FTE and spend data and monitor the development and implementation of the DOE National Program Plan for Intelligence, Counterintelligence and Management that shape the plan beyond the Department’s primary mission goals, including compliance with both the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) and the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) performance scorecard for the President’s Management Agenda (PMA).
Provided guidance to as to where to invest FTE & spend resources in the areas of technology strategy & planning, management, and execution.
Provided independent and objective programmatic and strategic planning and tracking capabilities to define the governance, structure and key processes.
