Oversee the onboarding and clinical placement of up to 800 students per semester, including nursing students (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate), medical assistants, and surgical technicians. Coordinate and schedule clinical rotations, partnering with universities, community colleges, and technical schools to ensure seamless student integration into hospital settings. Collaborate with the Office of General Counsel to review, finalize, and maintain contracts related to academic affiliations and clinical placements. Develop and implement workforce initiatives, supporting nursing students, medical assistants, and surgical technicians in their transition to healthcare roles. Serve as a Nursing and Medical Assistant Advisor for the Bloomberg Donation Project, working with the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers (EMK) to create high school-to-healthcare career pathways. Strengthen high school-to-healthcare career pipelines, providing students with clinical exposure, mentorship, and career development opportunities. Partner with hospital leadership and academic institutions to enhance nursing education, develop workforce strategies, and prepare future healthcare professionals. Lead the development and execution of nursing annual competencies, ensuring staff maintain clinical excellence and compliance with evolving standards. Oversee Nursing Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing bedside testing workflows. Evaluate and implement nursing products and technologies, collaborating with frontline staff to enhance patient care and improve nursing practice.
