Make sure all the requierements of good or services of big amounts, as also the investments (CAPEX), have the respective budget approval before presenting it to the planning and purchasing committees, otherwise we must have the consent or ratification from the owners. Verify all the bills or invoices are caused in our accounting system. Coordinate and track all logistic procedures along with the providers involve in this chain in order to deliver on time all our production commitment we have with our clients. Plan our costs in a mid-future term regarding the authorized quantity to exploit from the mine.

Lead and follow negotiations agreeing to maintain prices for a determined period of time with the purpose of saving time and maximize productivity, such as spare parts for machines, security and health elements for ensure a safer work, tires, gas, among others. Manage the purchase of some assets of the company such as machines, cranes, reach stackers, boats, etc, as a normal purchase or as a Free Zone Regime, new government law granted to our company in 2010. Follow up properly all the foreign trade, logistic, procurement/supply chain of the company's core business assets, services, contracts, etc. Show and present KPI (Key Performance Indicators or Management Indicators) to the different Directors of the company in order to receive feedbacks, analyze budget, take actions and set future objectives. Preparation and Presentation along with the Manager of the Purchasing Committee, which is conformed by some of the Managers of the Company along with some Directors. In this committee, by procedure we present comparative analysis of all the requirements of assets, goods or services above US$13.000, in order to take the best decision. The decision is made along with all of the committee members. All of the functions mention above applies also for the companies that I will mention below, due that they were absorbed or acquired by Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Barranquilla – Port of Barranquilla, meaning we work for the five companies: Granpuerto Ltda – Container and General Cargo Operator Osi Trademar S.A. – Bulk Cargo Operator, Puerto de Barranquilla S.A. – Fuel Service Station Sociedad Portuaria Rio Grande S.A. – Coal Operation and Dredgers

Jul. 2005 - May. 2009Lead, support and solve inquiries or concerns presented by clients, providers, custom agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines and agencies, port operators, antinarcotic police, customs, among others. Inform clients of damaged or missing shipment from origin, make tracking reports about containers, general cargo and coal to clients so that they could have an update of their shipment. Authorize some kind of refund depending on the case (storage, use of installations, handling of cargo, hours of crane used, etc) that the clients or any kind of users had to deal because of some fault by the Port’s Operators or any other of the Port’s areas. Show and present KPI (Key Performance Indicators or Management Indicators) to the different Directors of the company in order to receive feedbacks, take actions and set future objectives. Attend visits from authorities, clients or university students, where we make them a journey throughout the port explaining and showing the foreign trade operation. Named CTPAT Project Coordinator by the port’s President and Operation Manager (CTPAT stands for Custom Trade Partnership against Terrorism). The previous designation in hope to fulfill all the CTPAT requirements and be certified internationally, recognizing us worldwide as a secure and confident port in Colombia.
