I bring a unique blend of lived experience, academic knowledge, and professional expertise to youth justice work. As a survivor of violent crime and a second-generation migrant, I offer deep cultural competence, resilience, and insight into systemic inequalities affecting young people. My career spans community engagement, mentoring, and trauma-informed practice, including leading a youth centre, co-delivering knife crime reduction initiatives, and working as a teaching assistant specialising in speech, language, and SEMH support. I have developed and delivered tailored interventions, co-created behaviour and safeguarding plans, and maintained multi-agency collaboration with a strong focus on restorative justice, risk assessment, and early intervention. I am known for my honest, empathetic, and boundaried communication style, and I thrive both in teams and independently under pressure. Through professional training in safeguarding, mental health, and public service, alongside a BA (Hons) in Criminology and Sociology, I am committed to empowering young people to overcome adversity and build brighter futures.
