The campaign is a 10-week challenge to raise as much money as possible for the organization. I assembled a core team of 4 people, and scheduled 13 events to take place over the sprint. I am the first person nationally, for the campaign to create a consistent brand, associated native mobile app, website, and social media channels. At the end of the campaign, I had over 5000 active audience members that followed the progress and participated in activities benefiting LLS. While I did not win the title of "Man of the Year", I was able to raise over $43,000 in 10 weeks. To continue my support of this organization, I have been asked to help with future initiatives and provide insight and advise on fundraising technology.

This was the first time I have had the opportunity to not only utilize my breadth in knowledge, but also expand into video production, dynamic Google Adwords research, SEO consulting, and graphic design. For client support, I established a support protocol utilized every communication channel available to our user base, (Social Media, Phone, Email, Live Chat, ticketing). Focusing on my knowledge of email marketing and information gathering, I have used the metrics provided by our database to launch numerous successful campaigns and surveys to ensure that our internal corporate initiatives are truly what our valued customers are looking for. I was brought into the company during a transitional phase to create efficient marketing campaigns while cutting costs. During this time I worked with staff to create a product line from the ground up, using my years of experience in digital marketing, community relations and social media. The development effort augmented an existing microsite, survey and email offering to include an effective customer profiling system that tracks web and email behaviors, delivers automated targeted follow-ups and contains a social media driven new lead on-boarding component. Development of this product line was implemented in part to enhance and promote the company’s centerpiece mobile app which creates an entire new conversation between non-profits and the communities they serve. Along with managing the day-to-day operations, I was also able to secure better benefits for staff, streamline client communications, negotiate large 3rd party vendor contracts and create a comprehensive community development plan for the nationwide mobile app launch.

In 2011 a bill passed through the Indiana House of Representatives banning gay marriage and gay adoption. In response, and article was written in the Indiana Business Journal asking, “What’s next, are we going to make all the gays wear purple hats so we can easily identify them on the streets?”. Our goal with the purple hat project is to show there are many people out there who do not support discrimination in any form I came up with the idea after determining a need for a "connecting" organization to help raise awareness and educate the public about the different types of families located in the state of Indiana.
