Jan. 2006 - Dec. 2007Birmingham, United KingdomDuring the MSc course we learnt about, and were given practical experience of, researching, analysing and addressing work related problems - for example dealing with individuals exposed to chemical, biological and physical agents plus ergonomic and psychosocial problems. It also covered a broad range of skills to add to my previous learning, such as statistical and research methods, professional medical writing skills and a thorough understanding of EU legislation on Health & Safety at Work (theoretical and how to apply this practically). Visiting Lloyd's Bank offices, Rover Car & Cadbury Chocolate factories to assess and evaluate policies and processes. I then gave analysis and recommendations in follow-up reports and presentations to improve employee work and health outcomes.
