Jan. 2005 - Oct. 2011Member of the Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Computing software tools team within the Motorola Mobility Product Development Operations organization responsible for infrastructure, development, and testing of globally licensed mechanical engineering design tools, hardware, and processes. Additional responsibilities include:
Design and maintain testing/production infrastructure and processes used in testing mechanical engineering software functionality and deploying MCAD software configuration files to end users. Identify user requirements and scenarios to be translated into use cases and business requirements. Build and execute test cases that will be converted into production environment usage.
Manage the daily activities of outside contracted resources providing data creation, data management, and administrative services based on Motorola Mobility requirements
Project manager for evaluation, testing and deployment of software (existing and new), hardware testing and deployment, and network data replication. Manage network of 12 globally accessed servers to distribute common software configurations to end users.
Build, maintain, and deploy the common MCAD (Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire) application package and infrastructure used by all Motorola Mobility mechanical engineering design teams.
Daily/weekly activities of component library (MML) administration, gathering and reporting metrics specific to data usage and cycle time, working with mechanical engineering users one on one to identify process improvements and additional information that will assist in designing PCB assemblies utilizing MML components
Work with PTC to drive development direction of Pro/ENGINEER and Windchill software, specifically MCAD, ECAD, and data management functionality.
Lead and perform technical help desk support activities providing 24/7 support for the global mechanical engineering development organization.
