I joined as part of the Nova team, responsible for building and maintaining the company’s customer data platform (CDP), following Power Digital’s acquisition of Sproutward. As Director of Infrastructure and Security, I established and led a new team of architects, platform engineers, and cybersecurity engineers. My mission was to build scalable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure while integrating governance and compliance best practices. Key Achievements:
• Established a net-new Infrastructure Engineering function to wrangle sprawl, stabilize platforms, guide architectural decisions.
• Optimized spend. Owned AWS partnership, secured funding, and discounts through MAP Large, EDP.
• Partnered with MSPs to stand up XDR, NOC/SOC capability while we developed our internal security roadmap.
• Conducted an impactful IR table-top exercise for the SLT resulting in security investment.
• Championed the SOC 2 Type II certification, strengthening the organization’s security posture and opening up new business opportunities.
• Saved multiple high-MRR clients from churn by being the forthright face of cybersecurity.
