Dec. 2018Chesterfield, MissouriI help support a team of Data Steward & Quality Analysts within the Mercy Enterprise Data Analytics Office. We are responsible for the intake of various types of claims data from our payers into a data warehouse for analytics and reporting as well as Epic for operational processes. We ensure our data is high quality, accurate, complete and timely. Using automated validation tools, Jira for issue management, and best practices for root cause analysis, we identify and correct data integrity issues in partnership with our technical team, payers and data consumers. We recently integrated our claims data into the Lightbeam application and their PaaS database. We facilitated the implementation of the discovery and data mapping with their development teams, completed data validations once data was loaded to ensure completeness and accuracy, and setup processes to send files automatically upon receipt from our payers along with ongoing validation processes. We continue to learn more as we continue to support our data in Lightbeam and how it will be used by our data consumers. We are getting ready to complete training and transition our work to a Microsoft Cloud Intelligent Data Platform along with Databricks. As we implement, we will identify and learn new applications to better support our data exchanges and contribute to Data Governance. We are looking forward to our new future!
