A unique professional network that requires its members to obtain and to maintain professional certifications and to adhere to a stringent professional code of conduct, SELTINET is an immensely valuable resource for legal professionals seeking to work with the best interpreters and translators available. Maví Figueres has over 13 years experience as a Court Interpreter. She initiated the process of bringing the Certification Program to the State of Alabama and was instrumental in its development for Alabama. Ms. Figueres has developed and presented her own Power Point presentations regarding the importance of using qualified/certified Court Interpreters. Maví has been invited to present at the Annual Judges Conferences, as well as to Jefferson County DA's Office. She has also presented at the Paralegals Association monthly conferences regarding the use of qualified court interpreters. In addition to all, she gives Pro Bono presentations to Law Firms, paralegals, and other legal personnel about the role of qualified/certified Interpreters for depositions and for our courts. Finally, Maví daily mediate international negotiations in transactions ranging from several commodities as well as projects such as solar, hospitality, inventions and more.
