• Manage the State of Minnesota’s Public Assistance Grants to ensure compliance with Federal Policy and guidance • Implement disaster closeout operations, including resolving project issues with grantees or subgrantees
• Provide technical assistance for Public Assistance project closeouts; time extensions, Spend Plans, State Administrative plans, and scope of work changes
• Analyze disaster financial status reports, quarterly progress reports, and State reports
• Review committed disaster funds, including authorizations, tracking, and management funds
Key Accomplishments
• Deployed to Disaster 4363-IN to implement the new Public Assistance delivery model while leading a team of five Program Delivery Managers; managed the formulation of approximately two hundred projects
• Transitioned Disaster 4363-IN from the field office to the Regional Office, coordinating weekly status report meetings between FEMA leadership, program managers, and state partners; oversaw the transition of approximately one hundred projects from FEMA to Indiana Department of Homeland Security • Reduced the initial backlog of project change requests and closeouts, eventually turning projects around in a timely manner
