• Responsible for the annual operational budgeting and forecasting process for EMEA, including business/financial modeling, resource allocation, head count planning, variance analysis, monthly financial analysis and performance reviews
• Actively participates in the development process of each budget with senior management
• Responsible for the monthly budget reforecast • Forecasts accurate and timely cash flow projections, sales projections, expense projections, profitability, headcount, department performance and direct expenses
• Providing direct financial support to the business leaders through the provision of quality management information and commercial advice to support high level strategic decision making.
• Supporting, developing and implementing business and operational strategies to drive profitability and efficiencies throughout the business • Providing support for Pricing team for Professional Services RFP bids which included building of financial pricing models
In 2020, under unusual circumstances, I helped successfully throttle the ambitions of the PS org with a dynamic approach towards resourcing to maximise both top-line and bottom-line contribution. This approach allowed Rackspace to successfully grow the function by ~2x, while improving YOY margins and introducing new offerings.
Having had limited previous experience working on pricing models, I stepped up and took on the responsibility for building a pricing model for a very high profile RFP for VW Group. This model was instrumental in Rackspace winning this 3 year deal worth over €5M, the largest deal to date for the German business. I received multiple recognitions from senior leaders of the business and my pricing model is now used as a pricing template for future customer bids.
