A programme was in place to learn all departments within the establishment with a view to gaining experience to join the management team. Initial experience was gained in the kitchen, working as the pastry chef. Tasks including preparing fresh and exclusive desserts daily for the Club's restaurant on demand. Assistance was also provided on particular days with specific, rarer dishes and at Christmas, as Christmas puddings were prepared a year in advance.
