May. 2005 - Jun. 2012Provided full cycle executive recruitment from Director to Department Chair level. This includes partnering with hiring managers and search committee chairs to ensure OFCCP compliant hiring practices, creating strategic recruitment plans and creative communications, and handling all aspects of relationship management from interviewing arrangements, reference checking, touring the facilities, and ensuring a positive candidate experience at UTMB. In addition to serving as a high-level search consultant for UTMB Executives, including the SVP of Legal Affairs, VP of Business Operations and Finance, Associate VP of Business Operations and Finance, Chief Quality Safety and Clinical Info Officer, VP of Hospital Administration.
Selected achievements include, but are not limited to: •Created competency based candidate evaluation in collaboration with the Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity. •Nominated and selected for High Potential program and completed Emerging Leader training. •Successfully filled 16 Administrative and Professional (Director and above) positions in this last fiscal year (2011) and achieving a savings of $387,000 in external search fees to the organization. •Achieved key, high-visibility hires of a senior-level animal research Veterinarian plus an assistant professor spouse that greatly benefited pharmacology research. •Headed the Nurse Week planning committee for FY11 for the “Walk a mile in our shoes” event, which featured the invite of all 43 members of the Strategic Executive Committee to spend an hour with a nurse. This included creating an online survey used for Executive Leaders and Host Nurses resulting in great feedback that positively impacted nurse retention.
