Engineer Internship
EmbracoEngineer Internship
Jan. 2009 - Jan. 2010Joinville e Região, BrasilProject: Numerical and experimental analyses of different components of hermetic compressors aimed to the optimisation of their vibro-acoustic behaviour. Most of the work carried out has been focused on the optimisation (materials and shape) of components applied inside compressors. Activities: Experimental analysis, numerical analysis and numerical optimisation.
Engineer Internship
GTVA – Research Group on Acoustics and Vibration - UFSCEngineer Internship
May. 2008 - Jan. 2009Florianópolis e Região, BrasilProject: Numerical and experimental analyses of hermetic compressor discharge tubes. The research is aimed at the optimization of discharge tubes (shape and materials) in order to minimize the vibration flow from the compressors to the refrigeration system. Observation: The project has been carried out in partnership with Whirlpool – EMBRACO SA – Global leader in hermetic compressor manufacturing. Activities: Experimental and numerical analysis.
Engineer Internship
LABMETRO – Automation and Metrology Laboratory – UFSCEngineer Internship
Sep. 2007 - May. 2008Florianópolis e Região, BrasilProject: Development of a non destructive system called shearography for the inspection of composite petroleum pipelines and composite high pressure vessels. Observation: The project has been carried out in partnership with PETROBRAS – Brazilian Petrol Industry. Activities: Study of concepts related to machine vision, image processing technology and software development.
Engineer Internship
Università Politecnica delle MarcheEngineer Internship
Jul. 2006 - Aug. 2007Ancona e Região, ItáliaThe helicopter manufacturer AgustaWestland requested a study for the creation of a measuring procedure for a shearografic system (non destructive testing system for the inspection of composite materials). Several samples were created by the NDT sector of the company. Tests were carried out in order to understand the best procedure and parameter combination for defect detection on each different type of material used in the production of helicopters. At the end of the project a precise and repeatable procedure has been created to ensure that if no defect is detected after applying this procedure, no defect is present. Observation: The project was carried out in partnership with AgustaWestland (Cascina Costa di Samarate – VA – Italy). Activities: The job involved heading the project during the entire research period.
