Aug. 2021 - Apr. 2024Dayton, Ohio, United States• Supervision of 7 FT Community Development positions • Provides expertise and guidance to CD staff on all aspects of HUD grants, including CDBG and -CV, ESG and -CV, HOME, and -ARP, CoC, NSP, and Lead Hazard grants
• Prepares annual budget documents, financial management parameters, financial trajectories and expenditure patterns, and annual allocation plans for the City's HUD Entitlement Grants and staff
• Develops training materials for a wide variety of audiences with differing levels of grant knowledge and project management experience
• Works with HUD Field Office and Headquarters to implement compliant policies and procedures for grant and subrecipient management
•Monitors staff responsibilities to ensure tasks are completed while honing the skillsets of newer employees, supporting staff interests, and adjusting work plans to meet community needs
• Advocates for additional local funding sources via research and grant writing
• Encourages compliance among subrecipients, staff, project managers, and local partners with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements
• Participates in Leadership policy and project development decisions in areas of housing, human services, community development, homelessness, and economic development
• Participates in community boards and organizations, such as CNDAB, via planning, staff support, technical assistance, and presentations
• Completes documentation for the City's annual Entitlements - grant agreements, Consolidated Plans, Annual Action Plans and CAPERs, Competitive Processes, financial monitoring and project funding adjustments to accommodate timelines, presentations and collaboration with community partners to ensure HUD funding best meets community needs.
• Continuation of Community Development Grant Administrator responsibilities to support current staffing levels while additional employees are onboarded
