Aug. 2013 - Apr. 2016London, United Kingdom• Contributed to successfully securing more than $190 million in new funding for MSI since April 2013 for countries across the global partnership from donors including USAID, DFID, EC, World Bank, Danida, SIDA, CIDA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and small independent foundations; • Responsible for the design, management, development and submission of high-quality proposals for funding from institutional donors and smaller donors for the Southern Africa region (Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and South Africa); • Position and negotiate sub-partnering positions for MSI country programmes on large funding opportunities and manage and maintain relationships with other NGO partners around the world; • Develop funding strategies and funding pipeline analyses to ensure the sustainability of MSI services and activities in the Southern Africa region; • Responsible for funding opportunity scoping for all USAID and World Bank opportunities globally for MSI and opportunity scoping for all donors supporting the Southern Africa region; • Responsible for the management of donor profiles of donors MSI currently has relationships with and those which are of interest to solicit funding from; • Develop templates and team processes for donor scoping and proposal development including sign off templates, review templates, technical proposal templates, concept note templates and draft timelines for proposal processes; and • Provide mentorship to new members of the team in team processes and systems.
