Theatre of the Oppressed ScotlandFounder and Creative Director of Theatre of the Oppressed Scotland
May. 2024Edinburgh, Scotland, United KingdomAs the founder and leader of Theatre of the Oppressed Scotland, I am passionate about using the arts, particularly theatre and hip-hop, as powerful tools for social change and anti-oppression training through theatre. In this role, I design and deliver workshops, training and interactive performances that address systemic issues such as classism, racism, ableism, and heterosexism. My work focuses on empowering marginalised communities, fostering inclusion, and creating spaces where underrepresented perspectives can be shared and heard. I collaborate with local organisations, schools, and community groups to create interactive, participatory experiences that promote dialogue, understanding, and collective action. Through this work, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with hundreds of individuals, helping them develop the confidence and skills to advocate for themselves and their communities. As a leader, I am committed to continuously growing the impact of Theatre of the Oppressed Scotland, expanding our reach, and ensuring that our programs remain accessible, inclusive, and transformative.
