Jul. 2022Durham, North Carolina, United States• Collaborates with the AGS Program Associate Director in coordinating all aspects of AGS programmatic planning: speakers’ series, conferences, workshops, field trips, etc. This includes the composition of detailed briefing materials for incoming guests • Negotiates and coordinates with contract vendors to provide catering services, equipment rentals, equipment moving or removal, decorations, Audio/Visual support, etc.; (includes price negotiation and vendor management) • Strategizes, conceptualizes, and implements the development of publicity, advertising, and public relations campaigns relating to AGS. Composes press releases when applicable and arranges multimedia advertising (print, radio, etc.) • Optimizes website and strategizes a social media strategy for promoting AGS activities. • Composes and disseminates targeted personalized itineraries for visiting scholars and VIP guests to guarantee extensive university and community interaction and access; liaise with visiting guests and/or their assigned handlers to arrange for travel, etc. • Collaborates with the Program Associate Director to produce end-of-year annual reports and promotional materials for Program Director, University Administration and Development Offices, and program donors • Spearheads event set-up, managing event leads, photography, and parking • Tracks and processes income/expenditures related to assigned programs, including managing clearing of corporate cards and processing of receipts; solicit support from co-sponsoring organizations when required; office; Conducts digital file maintenance; Proofreads documents for dissemination.
