Aug. 2017 - Aug. 2020Pentagon, Washington, D.C.Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) tour, GS-14 equivalent, working at Headquarters Air Force staff in the Pentagon in the Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (SPPBE) corporate process. Responsible for $257 million portfolio spanning base operating support, information technology, system sustainment, test and evaluation, vehicles, and support equipment. Ensures requirements are communicated and planned/programmed for, and tracks effectiveness and efficiency of funds previously invested, spanning a timeframe of eight fiscal years. Reviews and coordinates all policy in logistics, maintenance, and base support lanes. Responds to internal and external inquiries from field and legislative agencies to ensure sharing of information and alignment to authorities. Researches, prepares, and writes congressional correspondence from staff. Authored annual congressional report, resulting in record setting appropriation three years in a row. Analyzes and interprets congressional bills, laws, statutes, and testimony, as well as Department of Defense guidance and regulations to ensure field compliance and facilitate commander’s intent. Prepares communications for congressional testimony and legislative input. Hand selected member of Reserve Council, which studies difficult and diverse issues affecting critical aspects of program execution.
