Jul. 2020 - Nov. 2021Job Classifcation: Health Professional IV Supervision of 5 management staff at two different levels of management and approximately 10 student contractors in the following activities. Oversaw COVID-19 response activities such as case investigation, contact tracing, data management, data cleaning, and case definition implementation. In that oversight, I provided subject matter expertise guidance on COVID-19 transmission, prevention and intervention practices. Implemented standardized supervision and workflow practices between CDPHE and Americorps leads, leading to a noticeable increase in efficiency and reduction of errors. In focusing efforts on goal setting and professional development, I created coaching and feedback processes, and generally supported staff new to public health work. Management of line lists, transmission mapping, creation of investigation support tools were a regular activity. This led to productivity analysis and coordination of an effort to better understand contact tracer capacity and what processes needed refinement. Notable projects within this role included: Designed new investigation systems for school cohorts and workplace outbreaks to ensure efficiency in information sharing between schools and health departments, along with effective support to families. Coordination of COVID-19 transmission control strategies in conjunction with a local health department and the wildfire incident command officers for several wildfires during the first and second year of the pandemic. Ensured data integrity by running reports, health record searches, and review of databases (CEDRS, QHN, CORHIO, CIIS, ELR, LPHA Portal, REDCap, and Dr. Justina). This data was used to improve data quality and monitor training and support needs of the program.
