ComplyCloudChief Technology Officer and Co-founder
Oct. 2017 - May. 2023Copenhagen, DenmarkBeing the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) in a startup company, requires a wide range of skills. Participated in building the first MVP of ComplyCloud. Started out with most required features, like being able to build Data Processer Agreements documents, create and maintain simple versions of records of personal data, purposes, recipients, IT-systems etc. All with the purpose of making our clients happy and GDPR compliant. I was the main developer and architect behind our first version of ComplyCloud, which defined the foundation of how we moved on with the product, proving our business case to the market. My skills included defining the design and architecture of the product in terms of the tech stack and developing the core system. Together with the team, defining new features and implementing those as we gathered new insights. As we moved on becoming a scale-up, I was responsible for growing our tech-team. The first employees in a start-up are always the most important one. Those people act as generalist and covers all aspects of developing. Later, we found and hired specialists to take over on responsibilities of the tech-stack and product.
Moving on, ended up as the main CTO for our tech organization, including people in Denmark, Ukraine and Poland. I am extremely proud and happy to have been a part of this journey, working together with high talented people, in the dividing water between tech and legal.
