-Blood draws (venipuncture)
-Wound care, dressing changes
-Suture removal, steri-strip application
-Prepare surgical tray and instruments for skin biopsies and minor procedures
-Prepare syringes for use in anesthetic or therapeutic injection of steroid
-Fill cryotherapy canisters safely
-Perform KOH and slides for microscopic exam
-Perform DTM testing
-With physician guidance, apply cautery to superficial angiomas, and apply LN2 to benign seborrheic keratoses, acrochordons, verruca
-Photodynamic Light Therapy
-Set up surgical tray and all necessary instruments using sterile technique for excisions, and Mohs surgery
-Assist physician with injections, biopsies, excision, deep cautery and surgical repair
-With physician guidance, suture punch biopsy sites, and close minor linear surgical sites
-Apply sterile bandage, complex pressure bandages and dressing Mohs surgical sites
-Assist with cosmetic procedures; Botox and fillers, chemical peels, laser treatments, dermaplaning, fat grafting, blepharoplasty, earlobe repair, etc.
-Educate patients (or caregivers) with precise wound care, medication use as instructed by the physician, skin care tips for acne, eczema, anti-aging and various skin ailments
-Order and maintain medical supplies weekly or as needed
-Performed monthly inventory of supplies and assure expiration dates were within regulation
-Clean surgical instruments
-Wrap surgery packs and sterilize in the autoclave daily
-Maintain regular cleaning of autoclave and medical refrigerator
-Answer patient phone calls and chart information
-Assist front office with check-in/out and scheduling patient appointments
-Call or fax insurance companies to advocate for prior authorization for medications or follow up appointments
-Teach, assist, help new employees learn clinic protocols, safety measures, etc.
-Maintain current CPR, HIPPA certification
