Aug. 1997 - Jan. 2011Gyeonggi, South KoreaDecorated and honorably discharged combat arms platoon sergeant (Short Range Air Defense; MOS 14S3O) with almost 14 years of federal service. Deployments to Bosnia-Herzegovina (SFOR-COOP), Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom I, IV, VII) and South Korea. Participated in and served as unit POC for combat patrols and supply runs at Shkin, Orgun-E, Bagram, and Kandhar Afghanistan over three combat tours. Coordinated movement with Republic of Korea (ROK) units and our Air Defense after the sinking of the Cheonan, setting up defense in depth and checking on both US and ROK soldiers nightly along the DMZ in preparation for attack E Btry 6-52 AMD annual ‘top gun’ for missile live fires, besting 28 other teams and team chiefs for best short-range Air Defense crew on the Korean Peninsula Entry Control Point TOC NCO for Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan; responsible for riot guard and the destruction of illegal narcotics. Additionally responsible for weapons confiscation and managing the storage of confiscated items.
