Health and Wellness Educator
Health & WellnessHealth and Wellness Educator
Jan. 2017Charlotte, North Carolina AreaI have had a passion for Health & Wellness since I got involved in Martial Arts in 2002. I fell in love with fitness and found the more I took care of my body the more I respected it. This is one of the reasons I started my online business built on Health & Wellness. I plan events that help raise awareness & teach people how to live healthier Organic, plant-based lifestyles that people can actually afford! I help educate and raise awareness about health issues that affect us all and provide solutions to creating a healthier, safer, lifestyle that everyone can afford. I found this service of educating others about health and wellness to be more in line with what I wanted to accomplish and provide to others. Something that isn’t risking their money or costing them more than what they are already spending. There are too many of us living pay check to pay check, I want to be more of a solution for people and add value & quality to their lives! This has been a great side income that has helped me financially while getting myself through college late in life. I would encourage anyone who is trying to build a retirement or a plan "B" to check this out, you will thank me. Message me if your curious. Give me 30 seconds it could change your life.

Oct. 2017 - Dec. 2017GlobalVisionary Leader Promoting WOR(l)D, Life Sensing Technology | Ugh My MLM lesson... After a 9 year career with SSA, I dedicated myself to fulfilling my vision to create my own lifestyle, income & pursuit of happiness. When I was introduced to Wor(l)d I had already quit my job to venture into entrepreneurship with a retail store. Immediately I saw the freedom this business would give, and the impact this technology will have on the world. I had been in network marketing before and I knew it was the fastest way to make a big impact in a short amount of time in comparison to a job or the expense of a traditional business. It was literally the day after my separation date from the agency when I signed up with World Global Network. Less than three months later, I have dropped 10 lbs and the energy I have from the personal growth & development has been unbelievable. Imagine being the FIRST in a technology market positioned for $20 Billion growth by 2020. We have the Fitbit or Apple watch on steroids. You can be first to market with a product that disrupts 3 industries simultaneously: healthcare, technology, and home-based business. The Vision of what I can do for others drives me to this day. Claims Specialist
Social Security AdministrationClaims Specialist
Oct. 2008 - Sep. 2017North CarolinaI ended my Career with Social Security as an SSI Claims Specialist to learn to be an entrepreneur. ✦Speaking with beneficiaries about their rights under the Social Security laws ✦Gathering facts and evidence to establish eligibility for benefits ✦Making critical decisions to determine the amount of benefits paid to individuals ✦Using state-of-the-art computer technology to access and update information about claims. This by far was the most difficult job because of the amount of work per worker is astronomical. If your reading this and you ever go into a SSA field office please be respectful to the workers. Working with the public is a mentally draining high-stress job. I started out as a Service Representative providing assistance to the public by answering a wide variety of questions by interviewing the individual, investigating the situation and resolving the problem. I was in that position for 7 years before getting promoted to SSI Claims Specialist. Before I got my promotion I thought, if I got to that next level I would be satisfied with my chosen career and have security and a solid retirement plan for life. Once I got my "coveted" position, I went through the training and quickly discovered the job was not for me. I wanted something more than a "Cubical life". I felt like I was dying at that desk, my body started to deteriorate, my chronic back pain from sitting at a desk all day was limiting my lifestyle and the weight gain year after year was out of control. I was gaining and an average of 2 lbs a year over a 9 yr period that was a lot for me and if I stayed another 20 years I would be at least 50 lbs overweight. The job life was just not the way I saw myself living any longer. So my husband and I worked on a plan to open a small retail store of imported goods in our town. In my search for vendors, I was introduced to a two-minute video that crushed that Idea.
Office Manager & Muay Thai Instructor
Champion Muay Thai & FitnessOffice Manager & Muay Thai Instructor
Jul. 2006 - Nov. 2016Statesville NCCertified by the Kingdom of Thailand, Muay Thai Instructor 2012. My Spouse at the time Rick Davis, and I owned and operated our Martial arts School together. This is where I began teaching Thai kickboxing to women and managed the office for him building the website and planning the marketing. I loved teaching and it gave me my first experience teaching in a group setting. I planned and organized my own lessons and changed the routine for every class to keep it interesting. I had a handful of women that worked out with me continuously for years because I made sure they didn't get bored with a stagnate routine. Which is not easy because women get bored pretty quickly with routines. I made lasting friendships teaching women and knowing and learning with so many wonderful women gave me pride for who I was, and for the first time, even though the military taught me a lot of what I was capable of, teaching Martial Arts gave me honor for who I am.
General Construction Equipment Operator
US Army Corps of EngineersGeneral Construction Equipment Operator
Aug. 2005 - Jul. 2006United StatesI was serving with NCANG Det 1 HHC 505th ENGR BN. Ordered to active duty July 10, 2005. I have always been a strong independent risk taker. But being called to duty to serve in Iraq was a terrifying experience because I was leaving three little ones, to go to a war zone. No don't get me wrong I was never traumatized by violence while on tour, in fact, I was very blessed to have had the leadership I served with, they did an amazing job at keeping the company safe, I was very fortunate. I traveled all over Iraq from base to base and never had an incident so I'm extremely grateful for that. • Duties performed as a Soldier, Job title or MOS 21J-light -weight equipment operator. Also received certification on MOS 21E-heavy equipment operator, which included my additional licenses with motorized graders, scoop loader rollers, D9 dozers, forklifts, tractor trailer, and towed or self-propelled scraper. adhered to heavy equipment safety and operation protocols, resulting in minimal complaints or incidents. I was awarded: ✦ National Defense service medal ✦Iraq campaign medal ✦Global war on terrorism service medal ✦Army service ribbon ✦Overseas service ribbon ✦Armed forces Reserve medal The Army taught me discipline, courage, and the confidence in knowing I could do anything I put my mind too. My experience with the military, and going to Iraq for nearly a year away from my children was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do. There were no good stories to share about the experience. But it was still worth every minute I spent there because it taught me so much about who I was or who I could be and for whom I didn't want to be any longer. I wanted my life to be the example that sets a higher standard of living for my children than what I was raised with, and being a solider was the first step in the right direction for that to happen.
General Construction Equipment Operator (21J)
North Carolina Army National GuardGeneral Construction Equipment Operator (21J)
Apr. 2003 - Jul. 2006Charlotte, North Carolina AreaYes, I was a Construction Equipment Operator. You see my foster parents had an Alpha Farm in Colorado and when I was a teenager we lived way out in a tiny town called Pleasantview. We were 30 minutes out of town and there was nothing to do but learn how to operate your dad's & grandpa's Farm tractors and maintain the daily rotation of a giant sprinkler system. I loved operating the tractor and my ex-husband was a mechanic and I learned a lot about auto mechanics so I scored high it that area and my choices were Combat Engineer or desk jockey so I chose the one I enjoyed the most, risk was of no consequence. I operated various construction machines. Starting out as an E4 I was sworn in on April 26, 2003. I knew there was a good chance I would be fighting in Iraq but I felt my choice was do it, or be on government assistance with three kids for the next 18 years. The Military absolutely changed my life! I went to basic training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, I was one out of two females who were over the age of 25, I was the grandma. I passed my final fitness test in the top 10 of my class. My high scores set me up for when I got to AIT I was given a Quad Leader position. I was awarded a Certificate of Achievement for outstanding performance as class leader in AIT. This gave me my first taste of leadership. Thus planted a seed in me then that has brought me to the place where I am today.

BB&TBank Teller
Sep. 1998 - Jan. 2002North CarolinaToday, 11/24/17 Thanksgiving Day my Beautiful daughter is 16 today! Reminds me of working at BB&T in my late 20's pregnant with my 3rd child. I performed all the traditional bank teller duties, you know customer service, public relations issues, managed the vault, and safety deposit boxes, and oversaw ATM operations. Ordered and maintained cash-on-hand, audited tellers drawers, and performed monthly internal audits, and all the other various transactional processes including accounting and secretarial duties. I left on maternity leave never to return. I loved that job, I learned right away I was good at communicating with people and got a thirst for a career path. After my daughter Karragin was born I went through a divorce and found myself to be a single mother of Three children and determined to set an example to live by for my children and for a means to an end, I joined the NC Army National Guard.
