Jan. 2021Chesapeake, Virginia, United States• Spearhead the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale events and fundraising initiatives for the foundation such as Hero STEM Days at the Hangar, and Project Green Sky, a multi-city initiative teaching students about the future of aviation and green energy utilizing the foundation’s electric plane as the focal point of learning. • Oversee all phases of the grant cycle from research, drafting, and editing through submission and compliance to obtain funds to support programs/events, staffing, and materials. • Recruit, onboard, and facilitate training for new employees and volunteers, creating a dedicated and unified team. • Implement systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation’s grantmaking and programs, ensuring activities comply with applicable laws and reporting requirements. • Represent the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. • Maintain positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, grantees, community leaders, and prospective donors. • Track donor information to provide statistical and narrative reports and work collaboratively with Finance to prepare budget and financial reports.
