Mar. 2018 - Jun. 2022London, Greater London, United KingdomRole of EVs derived from amnion membrane mesenchymal stem cells in a thermosresponsibe hydrogel for myocardial infarction • Developed and tested intrapericardial delivery of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) from mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) for cardiac repair post-myocardial infarction (MI). • Created a thermo-responsive chitosan hydrogel for controlled sEV release, enhancing delivery and retention in myocardial tissue. • Isolated and characterized sEVs from human amniotic membrane MSCs, confirming their therapeutic potential through endothelial cell assays. • Demonstrated improved cardiac function and reduced ventricular dilatation in rat MI models using intrapericardial sEV+hydrogel delivery, outperforming other injection methods. • Validated treatment efficacy with echocardiography and histological assessments, highlighting superior results compared to intramyocardial sEV injection.

M.Sc. Project: Investigation of Bioactive Molecule Synergy for Tissue Regeneration and Angiogenesis • Combined Elastic-like Peptide (ELP), Peptide Amphiphiles (PA), Heparan Sulphate (HS), and Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) to evaluate their synergistic effects on tissue regeneration and angiogenesis. • Conducted in-vivo studies using the chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model to assess the bioactivity of these molecules. • Demonstrated the enhanced regenerative potential of ELP, PA, HS, and VEGF. Evaluated the role of extracellular matrix (ECM) components and peptides in promoting cellular interaction and matrix remodeling
