Jul. 2009 - Nov. 2012Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.- Provide support to the Human Resource Manager and Deputy Human Resource Manager, and as required the General Manager and Deputy General Manager.
- Compile and Prepare Monthly Statistics Reports for the Corporation. - Investigate, review and respond to all inquiries received about the Human Resource Department and the Administration of the Corporation.
- Implementing and maintaining Policies and Procedures for the Human Resource Department.
- Manage applications for employment and assist with the recruitment process.
- Assist with the orientation of new employees and train new employees within the Department. - Order (externally) or Requisition (internally) supplies for the office. - General Responsibilities: Create and maintain personnel files, use the fax machine, photocopier, typewriter, computer and other office equipment, and prepare memoranda, letters and reports for management and staff in other departments. - Act as the Executive Secretary to the General Manager
Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondences and packages. Additionally I prepare correspondences and assist with the coordination of meeting, seminars and other activities, including making the necessary arrangements for engineers from overseas to stay in the BVI. - Act as the Receptionist and Office Clerk
Screen and appropriately transfer calls and visitors accordingly. I also register all documents and packages received, deliver and collect packages, documents and utility bills. Additional Responsibilities include: - Member of the BVIEC Energy Conservation Committee. - Member of the BVIEC Job Evaluation Committee. - Liaison Officer for the Annual Public Service Week Events for the Corporation. - Assisted with the Administration of the BVI Electricity’s Official Facebook page.
- Authorized Driver of the Corporation’s vehicles.
