During the course of working at this amazing pub, which has formed me as a leader and manager, I have been granted responsibility and autonomy, causing my job description to consist of: ● Progressed from front of house to management role within first few months of working through multiple promotions gained through demonstrating great management ability, confident to take over the running of the venue and ensure smooth operation from open until close
● Created an up-to-date tronc scheme upon changes to tips and service distribution. Laid foundations with automation on MS Excel to increase efficiency, fairness and reduce margin of error
● Increased revenue via KPIs such as spend per head through the creation of an aesthetically pleasing hot drinks menu in line with brand design which utilised upselling techniques
● Demonstrated operational excellence through organisation, collaboration and communication when single-handedly managing the hosting of large groups of up to 40 people and accommodating over 100 guests in the venue across multiple floors offering live music, live sports and formal dining
● Excelled in the role due to willingness to learn all areas of operations such as processes and practices, compliance, personnel management, stock management and guest satisfaction to a standard high enough to lead a team of kitchen and bar staff to generate revenues up to £12k on a single day
● Contributed to record-breaking sales figures whilst balancing other aspects such as guest satisfaction, stock control and personnel management
● Trained and inducted new-hires from a range of backgrounds, skill levels and ages to a high standard to ensure their behaviours were in-line with company needs
