• Transformed and unified 7 uncoordinated security functions after lab transition to quantum and neutrino science, hugely improving security infrastructure, technology, programs, and effectiveness.
• Made lab security operations DoE compliant after many years of non-compliance, creating and implementing all required, highly complex documentation programs and processes.
• Successfully petitioned for and obtained $2.8M in new DoE funding for lab security operations by demonstrating that new centralized and streamlined security structure will consistently save more in operating costs.
• Implemented lab's first drone surveillance program fully compliant with all FAA regulations, with 2 certified pilots and fleet of 3 drones enabling more efficient use of manpower.
• Awarded $3M in added funding between 2019 and 2022 for critical new security programs after demonstrating to DoE HQ security need for new IT, access card, acoustic threat detection, and drone technologies.
• Appointed as the laboratories Facility Security Officer and Insider Threat Program Senior Official.
