I led the HR function as we hired rock stars, won and lost clients, and grew together as we learned. I led performance management, compensation, change management, recruitment, and employee relations. As time went on, I also took on the Finance and Accounting areas in which I established metrics, set industry benchmarks, and navigated the pandemic, including securing PPP loans. I have a front seat to building and nurturing a business in a very competitive industry and am thankful for the 6 years of leading, learning and planning for the future. I have always maintained that the best HR professionals are those that truly understand the business for which they are responsible. Working at Public Works has given me that opportunity.
