A pivotal moment in my career I headed up the HR function at a turnaround company for the Africa region for 8 years where I focused on strategies regarding talent management for building highly skilled professionals to lead the business into transformation and profitability. My work included the strategic reorganization and transitioning of the business from a manufacturer to an import model whilst keeping the people highly engaged and aligned to the company’s strategic direction. I’ve been privileged to work for a renowned Japanese multinational company, where I held a global assignment as a Global HR Business Partner for Corporate Functions in Japan Tokyo for 2years. My portfolio included supporting and partnering with leaders on impactful business areas such as Global Communications and Impact Strategy, Global Master Data and Process Governance, Global Legal, and Corporate Audit. I worked closely with CxOs to develop, execute and align strategic people focused initiatives with the organizations playbook and key KPIs of each function. A significant part of my responsibility was creating synergy and serving as a bridge between Japan and international markets, ensuring that strategies resonated globally while honoring local nuances. “This exposure gave me the opportunity to collaborate with leaders across the globe and gain a deep understanding of diverse markets.
