Together we explored the auto industry from the inside out and ultimately developed a powerful solution for auto dealers, Auction Genius. After a handful of years spent learning the industry, finding the right problem to solve, developing a working solution, and building all the appropriate relationships and partnerships to go to market, we launched Auction Genius to the dealer public in February of 2012. The launch of our product was so successful and created such a buzz within the industry that by July of that same year Auction Genius was acquired by AutoTrader, the leading media and technology organization in the auto industry. Within AutoTrader Group, Auction Genius found a home in the vAuto business unit and we were off to the races. Both Kyle Himmerick (Auction Genius Co-Founder) and I went to work for vAuto and have since been given the opportunity to build a team and launch an entirely new product line within vAuto. With Kyle continuing to drive our product development efforts, I now head up operations for Genius Labs by vAuto out of our growing Longmont, CO office where we are continuing to scale the business model and launch additional, innovative solutions as a part of this new line.
