This course introduces students to the concepts and techniques of financial management applicable to nonprofit corporations. Focus will be on the fundamentals of accounting and budgeting; interpretation of financial statements, data, and procedures for operational forecasts; and fiduciary responsibilities of nonprofit boards and staff. Students will gain an understanding of how to use financial information in organizational planning, implementation, control, reporting, and analysis.
