Team leader in charge of the expansion of the state-wide MPLS-based network supporting Smart Grid services. Designed overlay network services (L2 and L3 VPNs, voice, video, data, and SCADA) on top of the MPLS network. In charge of the design, initial configuration, testing, validation and implementation of next generation firewalls for enterprise and operations services, and remote and site-to-site VPN services, including web filtering, threat and malware protection, and centralized logging to the SIEM. Evaluated and tested products from different vendors, and made recommendations for implementation. Documented and trained support staff for on-going project maintenance, and supported network administrators troubleshooting incidents and outages. Led the post-planning and execution phases of projects, including determining the projectโs work-based structure, validating bills of materials, performing statements of work, managing internal and external resource allocation for project planning, and collaborated with project managers to ensure the effective achievement of project goals and critical path milestones. Generated Enterprise Architecture Assessments for several large scale projects. Worked in the deployment of the virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) platform, including the design of the security perimeter, secure datacenter east-west, and north-south communications. Designed, configured and make the initial deployment of the IDS infrastructure for the SCADA system.
