RadioShack sold a wide variety of products, including cell phones, computers, audio and video equipment, and other electronic accessories. In 2015, the company filed for bankruptcy and closed many of its stores, but some locations continue to operate under new ownership.
As the Global CHRO, I provided leadership and strategic direction for the organization's HR function. Responsible for HR operations in the US, Asia Pacific, and Mexico. I rebuilt the HR function to develop and implement HR policies and programs to align the organization's HR practices with the company's business goals and objectives.
I led employee recruitment and retention, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR technology enhancements. Senior Executive for Non-US Store Operations - Country of Mexico. Led Country Manager for Mexico. (300 Stores) I was appointed by the board of directors and the CEO as the Chief Transformation Officer last year. Worked closely with the board of directors, external management consultants, other executives, and leaders within the organization to identify areas for improvement and develop plans to drive transformation. My work included managing resources and budgets allocated to the transformation effort and communicating with stakeholders and employees throughout the process to help the organization become more efficient, effective, and competitive. We achieved high multi-level expense reduction providing a more extended runway for the business to turn around.
