I designed and improved solutions that manage access, scurity and identity used by leading companies worldwide. Oracle offers over 3000 products. I worked in the Middleware division, in a small group called Identity Management. We developed solutions to manage users, their access, and then to provide security over the corporate assets they work with. I worked on bringing certain products from our vast on-premises software to the cloud. Another primary goal was to design our identity management patterns in such as way so that they could be consumed by many other groups as they all migrate their apps to the cloud.
I worked on many products, including User Profile, Single Sign-On, Multi-factor Authentication, Adaptive Security, and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).

Nov. 2007 - Oct. 2008I was lead HFE for a large project, designing and driving to development a new SOA platform to deliver automation tools and solutions to the datacenter environment. I drove several development teams (2-3 developers, 2-3 testers), all working in an agile/XP programming environment. These teams were spread through Utah, Florida, Alabama and Beijing. It was a very User-Centered design approach, using the Contextual Inquiry method, taking paper prototypes or electronic demos out to customers all over the country then using that data to create the next interface iteration. Most customer visits were like focused surgical strikes, highlighting one or two elements that were being tested, and the subsequent results driving the next iterations of development work or confirming previous design decisions.

May. 2007 - Nov. 2007I re-designed the interface and interaction for the core applications of a Gas Pipeline management suite of six applications using a user-centered design approach. A new Dashboard page was created, along with a major redesign of the 5 major screens. I also created a series of templates to be used in converting the remaining 300 or so screens in a 1:1 format conversion. · User Centered Design Methodology used in laying out the major screens and the conversion templates.
· New application is built on Adobe Flex technology
· Screen components were laid out in Flex
· Iterative screen design work done in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop
· I created all CSS Style files and accompanying symbols (vector based symbols can be used in a style sheet in Flex)
