Aug. 2009 - May. 2012Part of the MENA Equity Sales Trading team in Dubai which serviced institutional equity investors across MENA (mainly) as well as Europe and USA. Main role consisted of establishing relationships with CEOs and CFOs of bluechip companies in MENA (across several industries) HSBC Research department ranked number 1 in the region. Worked closely with the strong team of analysts in turn, strengthening relationships with companies further. Organized roadshows across the Middle East for MENA and International clients, January 2011: reached a point where relationships were solid and roadshows were organized flawlessly, receiving outstanding feedback from clients and demand for Corporate Access increased significantly; was then promoted from Corporate Access Officer to Corporate Access Manager. Was given more responsibilities such as pitching for reverse roadshows. This involved putting together marketing Powerpoint presentations and request meetings. Also was given responsibility to manage the junior Corporate Access teams in HSBC Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Day to day responsibilities at HSBC: • Research and development of database for major corporates in MENA: Researching companies that trade on a stock market, worthwhile for investors to meet and invest in. • Establishing and maintaining relationships with CFOs and CEOs of major companies in MENA • Organization of bespoke roadshows and reverse roadshows across MENA for financial institutions. Roadshows involve HSBC taking investor clients to see several companies, whilst reverse roadshows involve taking the company itself to go and see clients. • Coordinating and assisting in organization of the Annual MENA Equites Conference (UAE and Turkey) • Multiple trainings with Corporate Access team in HSBC Headquarters, London (on the ground and online systems) • Working with the Research department enabled to help the sales team,

Jan. 2008 - May. 2009Emirates cominvest was the Asset Management division for Commerzbank, the renowned German Bank. Was only a rep office, all functions took place from headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. Was sent to Frankfurt to visit the headquarters and meet colleagues in person. Trainings arranged for each department in cominvest to get a clearer understanding of the business background as a whole. cominvest Dubai was entirely new to the region; main objective and biggest challenge was to familiarize the region's major institutional players (banks, investment companies etc) of who cominvest is and its function. Unfortunately cominvest was not able to sustain as the economic situation in 2009 started to deteriorate and just before the crash, cominvest was acquired by another German bank and the office in Dubai shut down. Day to day responsibilities at cominvest: • Research and development of databases for major institutional players in the region: search for institutional players which seemed to have extra cash which cominvest could manage. • Particular focus on inter-regional and supranational organizations in the Arab world • Regular marketing of performance-relevant data and product-related mail shots to the entire contact database: weekly emails were sent out to all contacts on the database highlighting cominvest's performance and achievements. Also internal and external workshop events by cominvest were organized and invitations designed and formatted by myself were sent out. • Handling of day-to-day administrative office duties: printing, binding, payments • 'Mutual Funds' training- Luxembourg August 2008: was sent to Luxembourg for a month of training to get a broader idea of the laws and procedures and to meet in person the teams.
