Jan. 2021 - Mar. 2022A move back to Arizona found me at a new non-profit organization that would end up being a huge part of my life and a place that taught me everything I know about Applied Behavior Analysis. At SARRC, I had the great opportunity to learn from so many valuable experts and leaders in the field and was truly a sponge for my entire time there. Across the 6.5 years, you'll notice that I had the privilege of 4 hard-earned promotions and with each one came great opportunity, growth and impact. I could never fit a proper explanation of it all with just the 2,000 words allotted here but would love to chat more in depth about it, reach out!

Jul. 2014 - Sep. 2015Walnut Creek, CaliforniaAlong with a big change in my personal life (moving outside of Arizona for the first time) came a big change in my career. After gaining exposure to the autistic perspective in my last role as a Prevention Specialist, I decided to switch gears to specialize in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and returned to school to get my Master's degree while working full-time in the field. In this role, I had the opportunity to support children ages 3-13, that had a diagnosis of autism through home-based therapy and community support at summer camps. My previous trainings on rapport and relationship building really supported my ability to quickly learn how to best support my clients: follow their lead and interests. I spent countless hours learning about the things they loved, so that I could teach them about the things they needed to learn to have independent living skills.
Prevention Specialist
Jewish Family & Children's Service of ArizonaPrevention Specialist
May. 2013 - May. 2014In addition to my full-time role as Family Support Worker, I took on an additional part-time role of Prevention Specialist also at JFCS. This role was a great opportunity to transition into school-based services, as I was contracted to facilitate small-psycho social groups at a local elementary school. These groups were individually designed to support students with resources, activities and discussions around a variety of topics such as divorce, grief and loss, bullying, autism spectrum disorder, and behavior management. This is the role that sparked a big change in my career path, as I began to learn and experience the autistic perspective.
Family Support Worker
Jewish Family & Children's Service of ArizonaFamily Support Worker
May. 2012 - May. 2014Phoenix, Arizona AreaAfter my time at MGA Services, I really thought about my passion and what I went to school for, which led me to this incredible non-profit organization. At JFCS I learned the ins and out of social work and how to have an impact on my community. I provided home-based services to support children and families that had Department of Child Safety involvement facilitating reunification services, parent-aide services and in some instances, severance of parental rights. Across each case, I had to understand a variety of family dynamics, cultures and needs, while providing education and resources on protective factors to establish stable homes. Two skills that I learned in this role that have stayed with me across everything I do is 1) establishing client rapport and relationship building, and 2) writing objective and detailed notes. I have many memories and stories from this role that deeply shaped how I think, how I live my life and how I treat others. I would love to chat about this with you!
Technical Recruiter/Human Resources Coordinator
MGA SERVICESTechnical Recruiter/Human Resources Coordinator
Jan. 2011 - May. 2012Tempe, Arizona, United StatesThis was my first corporate job out of college and by the end of my time at MGA I had received two promotions, one leading me to be the only female recruiter in the company. I started as a Receptionist/Office Manager type role and was quickly promoted to a Human Resources Coordinator role within two months of starting. After gaining experience supporting administrative tasks, internal systems, credentialing and payroll, I was promoted again to a Technical Recruiter role. I gained a great deal of training and mentorship from my Director on full-wheel recruitment from sourcing candidates to interview prep to client relations. This company ended up being dissolved by two separating owners but I'll always look back on it as, "Where it all started".
