This project shows a series of activities, to be carried out within the English language classroom, these activities are meant to create a sense of awareness (on students and teachers) on tolerance and peaceful everyday living. 2. EDUCACIÓN A DISTANCIA: CREENCIAS, REALIDADES Y EXPECTATIVAS DE UNA LICENCIATURA EN LENGUA EXTRANJERA EN COLOMBIA. "Distance Education: beliefs, facts, and expectations of a B.Ed. program in foreign language in Colombia". Presentation carried out in different events which basically aimed at sharing the different perceptions and misperceptions distance education must cope with in a developing country as Colombia. 4. EXPERIENCIAS EXITOSAS DE EDUCACIÓN SUPERIOR A DISTANCIA EN LATINOAMÉRICA "Successful experiences on distance higher education programs in Latin America". Presentation developed as part of the research project carried out at Santo Tomás Univerisity (Bogotá, Colombia) in which we carried out a historic overview of distance education in the continent. Its main goal is to revise and propose a new pedagogical model of distance education in our institution.
