Mar. 2015 - Aug. 2016Baltimore, MD - Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and trained 2 new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. - Plan and direct activities such as Summer Connections, new course development, and guest speakers with other department heads as required. - Manage a team of up to 3 people through leadership, mentoring, and goal setting. My management responsibilities also include writing yearly reviews, addressing performance issues, and having regular touch base meetings with team members to ensure that all projects and tasks are being completed on schedule. - Participate in the development and management of ongoing and incoming communication regarding Student Experience events, timelines, and implementation. - Using data and other means available, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and performance of the existing over 30 clubs and activities offerings, and seek ways to implement changes for improvement. This lead to the elimination or combining of 6 low enrollment clubs as well as the creation of one of our most popular clubs, Gaming and Technology Club. - Coordinate with various cross-departmental team members and third party content providers to ensure student access to engaging content. - Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with upper management and staff members as necessary.
