Leather and brass hardware is custom made for every single item, and the result is a set of unique pieces belonging to a collection of meticulous craftsmanship and a distinct signature style. The accessories are molded from premium quality vegetable-tanned hides. This tanning process preserves the natural beauty of the leather. The hardware is made from hand-molded high quality solid brass that ages beautifully, giving more character to the piece. Craftsmanship in Bourj Hammoud is not just an industry, it represents the identity of the people living and working there. Through this project a cultural and historical wealth of production skills will be transmitted to future generations, as well as the creation of new jobs and empowerment of underprivileged youth. All this through training and mentoring opportunities where young people can learn directly from master artisans. Mission of AI: Preserve and support craftsmanship, generate a new wave of craftsmen, increase of job opportunities, elevate the quality and the esthetic of the “Made In Lebanon”, facilitate the creation/realization of 100% locally made brands.
