Aug. 2020 - Jan. 2024Robertsbridge, England, United KingdomAlways a passionate photographer, I started by documenting my family life tangential to my work as an advertising professional. Things started moving in the right direction when I participated and won first prize in a local photography art contest. The winning photograph of old Morris Minor was much praised in the local art community, which gave me the confidence to go further. In 2020, I finally focused more on my photography, identifying that my interest lies mainly in the natural world and refining the technique of using a flash with ambient light, ND filters, special effects and a Fuji X100V. I am always interested in motion, people and storytelling, all important subjects I pursue when inspired. By 2022, following my win at The Sony World Photography Awards, Aesthetica Magazine wrote, ‘Baković offers a fresh take on floral photography. The results are almost alien, highlighting the natural world from the inside. During my time at the agency, I actively participated in some fantastic projects - from big-budget tv campaigns to juicy events or important social projects. Starting from the bottom, I worked my way up and in less than a year, I was appointed Account Manager, responsible for one of the largest clients agency serviced. Following this, I was handed the “sensible project” of the 2008 general elections campaign in which one of the candidates we advised won a parliament seat.
