I started my academic journey with a BSc in Sports Science (Physiology) (2017-2019) at Stellenbosch University and went on to do my HONS degree in BSc Biokinetics (2020). I have always loved learning and broadening my knowledge, especially in the medical field, with a keen interest in rehabilitation protocols, acute and chronic diseases, new treatments and medical devices. With this, I continued into my Master's studies, focusing on biomechanics and the role of different ankle/foot prostheses on the biomechanical loading of the sound side knee joint. I have since published two international journal articles and continued my scientific writing skills and editing. I have also been working full-time as a Biokineticist in private practice, mainly focusing on helping individuals with chronic diseases and long-term problems to help them improve their quality of health and daily functionality.
