Inter-American Development BankConsultant Software & BizTalk Developer
Aug. 2013 - Oct. 2014Washington D.C. Metro AreaAs part of the Enterprise Service Bus team within the Information Technology Department (ITE), I am involved in the development and implementation of Microsoft Biztalk as the integration platform for applications running in the bank. I assist in the development of practices concerning the use of BizTalk by project development teams and provide technical support to those teams in the specific implementation of their BizTalk interfaces. So far, I have also:
o Assisted in the development of a web service that acts as a gateway to the LexisNexis® Bridger Insight ™ XG Services. Bridger Insight ™ helps companies conduct due diligence, but the interface is quite complex, and provides more options than is needed by the bank’s applications. Therefore, the service I developed wraps the Insight functionality, making it easier to code against.
o Developed a BizTalk interface that collects payment requests from a legacy system, decrypting and transforming it, and sending to SAP. It also receives the response and transports it back to the legacy system. o Developed and implemented a web application that simplifies the searching for and management of UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery and Integration) entries, which will be key to the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) the bank wishes to pursue. The application also serves as a way of implementing additional security over that provided by the UDDI infrastructure.
o Been key in designing and developing a framework for Enterprise Logging, which can be used by applications throughout the bank for their logging needs. The framework allows authorised users to add log entries specific to their application, as well as retrieving them according to specified criteria. Being a RESTful web service, the framework is platform agnostic, allowing a broad range of bank applications access.
